List of Coaching Goals for each week:

July 5th week (ages 8 -14 who are beginners / intermediate level)

  • Have Fun while learning the skills of volleyball
  • Develop correct techniques in body positioning
  • Progress in ability and confidence through out the camp week
  • Understand the game and rules
  • Build friendships and relationships

August 2nd week (ages 12 - 17 who are intermediate / advanced level)

  • Have Fun developing individual skills
  • Group players based on ability and specific positions more than age
  • Gain a better understanding of team play
  • Realize and develop each player's Strengths and Weaknesses
  • Introduce and use proper volleyball terms for game play
  • Utilize drills to increase speed, strength, and reaction
  • Team drills to simulate "real game speed and positioning"
  • Build understanding of teamwork and specialized positioning
