United Sports has joined up with West Bradford and CALN Township to bring you the best of Street Hockey. We will be utilizing West Bradford Elementary and CALN townships outdoor rink and United Sports indoor rink for all games. Street hockey is played like hockey without the checking and without skates. It's a fun way to play the sport of hockey but using speed of the player's feet instead of skates. The game is played with the Center Line as the offside line. Each game is 3 (10 minute stop clock periods). Each game will have a certified referee.
Games will be played on Saturdays between 3pm and 7pm. We will only use the earlier times if we have a lot of teams.
Players need the following equipment:
Hockey helmet with a cage or full face shield, elbow pads, shin guards, gloves and a stick. If your child loves playing hockey outside this is a great way for them to get involved in league play. The league is a 7 game season plus playoffs and 2 practice times.
How teams are made:
Teams are made up based on each player's ability, skill and size. Our goal is to have 3 divisions, a younger U9 division, a U14 division and a High School division.
Ages: 7 - 17
Length of season: 8 weeks (7 games and 2 practices)
